DaVita.com continues to be the preeminent website for kidney education. I’m proud that my contribution to the creation of the web content is relevant and helping people. When creating the tone and voice for DaVita, I aspired to provide compassionate, factual and helpful information — addressing the concerns of people living with kidney disease and their family members. As DaVita.com became the go-to website for chronic kidney disease and dialysis, a patient told me, “I feel like my smartest and most trusted family member is speaking to me in your articles.” Mission accomplished.
In addition to web creation and writing for DaVita.com, there were an array of copywriting opportunities targeting current and potential patients, teammates and physician partners. The Redwoods Program is named after the strong Redwood trees that grow in Northern California. Transplanting debilitates them. Raising them from seed to sapling endows longevity. The process by which these trees are cultivated from seeds to their current strong and tall stature is analogous to how DaVita wants to help grow its future leaders from schools including: Harvard, Kellogg, Stanford, UCLA, USC, University of Michigan, University of Texas, Vanderbilt, Wharton and Yale.
